Car Wash and No Rinse for Hard Water
Need some advice on two questions. What would you recommend for a car wash with extremely hard water and intense sun (Tampa)? It is a constant battle against water spots. I find myself cleaning the car early (7:30ish am) to combat the sun.
The other question is after reading and learning about rinseless wash (was new to me) what would you recommend for the same water/sun conditions? The purpose would be to clean a week long dust accumulation. The car sees about 35-40 miles a week. Thanks in advance.

Dodo supernatural soap or add a ounce of ONR to your normal wash soap.

I also have very hard water in my area.
As mentioned from loudog2,add some ONR

I picked up this system and did a wash in the mid-day sun-NO water spots.I did a thread on it.
I'm abosultely thrilled with the several washes I did with it so far :)

Save your money. Add 1/2 ounce of ONR and you won't have any water spots. It completely neutralizes minerals in water. I have washed cars in the blazing sun and have never had water spots since I started adding ONR to my favorite car soap.

I'm just curious,is your water very hard?
I tried just adding ONR to bucket washes and I get spots (thou less than without ONR) but my water must be full of calcium and others.
Re: Car Wash and No Rinse for Hard Water
Are we talking about rinsing the car soap off? I thought that if the soap was ph-neutral it wouldn't leave water spots?
Re: Car Wash and No Rinse for Hard Water
ONR is the way to go. I added some to the bucket wash and the rinse water just rolled off the vehicle. Made for an easy dry with only 1 WW towel. ONR can also be used as rinseless wash.
Re: Car Wash and No Rinse for Hard Water
ONR for the rinseless, Dodo and any other recommended soaps? Thanks for the input.
Re: Car Wash and No Rinse for Hard Water
for ONR washes just get yourself some distilled water from the grocery store..wont leave any spots behind. As for the what soap to add to regular wash..I dont understand why this is always asked..So what you add a soap to the water that might soften it up some..as soon as you take your hose and rinse it all down and you just sprayed your car with the hard water again that soap does not help one bit to stop spots after rinsing.
