How long to wait between coats of carnauba?

I think I've read the answer to my question somewhere here before, but can't find it now so I'll ask:

Do we have to wait for carnauba to cure the way we do with SG? How long to wait between coats of carnauba?

I want to give Golda Toyota a couple of coats of Souveran paste this weekend. On top of three coats of SG hat should fix her up good.

    Thanks, as always, for help!

I have heard that the first coat of wax needs time to harden "cure" and that there should be a cure time of 12-24 hours between coats.

If you use just a carnauba it is ok to apply the second coat immediately, this will not harm the paint. i personally spray the car with cold water after the first coat and reapply the next day. Have done this for years and very pleased with results. However, if you use a sealant it is best to wait at least 12 hrs. between coats for cureing time. Have used a sealant for years on my wifes car it works. Just my opinion.

There is a point of diminishing returns ... with carnauba its about 2 coats. Anything more is likely wasted product.

    LMAO!!!

I ddin't mean three coats of SG in the SAME DAY!!!

Nope, the sealant has gone on over three weekends. Thin coats of Klasse SG...which, I think the secret to working with SG is to keep rubbing with the applicator until your product is dry. JMHO after today. That seemed to do right well for me this afternoon. Golda looks very nice. I'm taking some pictures of her dressed in just the SG and then more pics with Souveran paste over the SG on Sunday to compare the two.

As for the carnauba...I do like hardtop's idea of squirting with cold water and then waiting 'til the next day. Maybe it really only needs to wait 30 mins but curing like Jen said sure can't hurt.

abrcrombe, I don't know what is the secret to spit shining. Other than maybe spit...? Seriously, I"m interested...what is it?
