    Super Clean on engine bays?

    Hello guys,

I was browsing my car make forum and it seems as though a couple members have used Castrol Super Clean in their engine bays and than just pressure washed it off after finishing...

I asked if they used any covering over the electrics (espeically on our cars since their biggest problem of ownership is electrical gremlins). They said nope, straight drenched in Super Clean and than pressure washed right off...

The end results of the members are just fantastically clean... But I just... I dunno, the electrical connections and water just really do not sound good whatsoever...

Even if other's don't cover and protect electrical components doesn't mean you don't have to, start a thread on your hangout forum and ask which components should be covered and protected if a person what's to take the extra step to protect these components and see if you get any specific recommendations.

I would cover the Alternator and Air Filter. I also use cleaners made for engine cleaning like Griot Garage Engine Cleaner. Cleaning and engine bay when really dirty will take some elbow grease to get it clean. I would not recommend using strong degreasers like super clean in the engine bay

It looks like there were some engine cover's that were added on also. In the previous picture they were silver and now they are black.

In the back firewall area on the driver's side there's some kind of liquid jug and in one picture it has a blue cap and in the other picture it has a black cap.

Could just be a great engine detail and upgrading to some newer components?

that appears to be a different car...too many differences
upper radiator hose clamp on after is screw type/b4 spring type, wiring to positive battery terminal, hose running over mass air flow sensor, even the radiator support over the passenger side headlamp.....too hard to say
