Wolfgang Uber question for a newbie

First time post, I plan on using the Wolfgang Uber on a new Roush F150. My question is what will Wolfgang Uber coating do to the Matte black decals it has on the hood fenders and tailgate? Because it intensifies the gloss of a vehicle ,I am afraid that it will make the decals shiny. Thoughts or experiences?

Sharp truck! Don't use the Uber coating on the matte. You need a matte coating like Gyeon or Dr. Beasley's.

Thank you, it was a retirement/50th birthday present from my wife. Originally, I was looking for a Shelby f150 but really liked the lines of the Roush.

In my experience it will add some sheen to a matte surface but it will not make it glossy. I used it on all the trim on my car (which has very little) and the trim on my brothers truck when I coated it with CSL/EXO. Trying to find any pics that show the look but can't.

Here is a picture of my engine compartment with everything coated with WG Uber coating, no vinyl but plenty of matte. I do believe that even matte specific coating will look similar.

Not necessarily true. A typical coating will give a richer finish to the matte surface. Not glossy. Just as Ancient1 posted. Many have used coatings on matte surfaces that are not labeled as "matte coatings".

If anyone has pictures of before and after on matte decals it would be greatly appreciated. In the end I will own both products and will most likely use the appropriate product on that panel. It will be an interesting case study for the forum.

The best thing about matte products being used on matte paint/decals is the fact that you're keeping the paint matte. The sheen from using a regular coating on matte paint is all the little excess coating residue that you've just stuck in the microscopic valleys and ridges of the matte paint. This basically means that sure it'll work great but you have added sheen. A lot of people don't want any kind of light reflection, a lot of people do. The other thing is, is a paint coating that makes things shinier by deflecting more of the Suns uv lights really going to work for a paint system that works by absorbing the light of the sun? I'd always suggest matte products for matte things.
