    Re: Gyeon CanCoat

I have had it applied since Jan 3rd. I have noticed absolutely no drop off in beads, sheeting or Gloss. To me the self cleaning is amazing. Disclaimer: I have only used Sealants or Wax prior. I do use Bathe+ once a month to give it a little booster. Holding off one Wet Coat as a topper. I'm waiting to see how long it holds up with very basic maintenance.

I applied 2 coats to the whole car. Applied 1st coat then waited 1hr and applied the 2nd coat. I did this in my garage and a mask was needed. It has a strong chemical smell.

I have had many comments from people who can't keep their hands of cars. You know those kind of people. "Wow this is so slick did you just wax it." I smile and tell them no. I just like to keep a clean car. The whole time in my head screaming get your hands of my paint.

The best compliment came from my wife. She said "that looks really nice". That was the only time she ever commented on any of our vehicles. Maybe I spoil her. She never drives a "dirty" car.

Is CanCoat a competitor to Sonax PNS? Any advantages over PNS? From the product descriptions they seem very similar.

    Re: Gyeon CanCoat

I would share similar comments to Tc99m above. I used CanCoat as my winter protection this year on my daily driver. Applied two coats this past October just as Tc99M did and used a mask as there was a strong chemical smell while applying.

I have been very impressed with the self-cleaning ability of this product. Very slick finish and excellent gloss. I've used plenty of "booster" products over the winter months while doing weekly rinseless washes, including: Cure, BSD, ECH20, ECH20 + Reload, Kenotek Showroom Shine, and Kamikaze Overcoat. With all of these toppers it's hard to determine if the CanCoat is really holding up strong but my sense is that it is.

Can wholeheartedly recommend this product though and I will not hesitate to use it again. ECH20 and ECH20 + Cure works/would work really well to maintain it. Also, no problems using Uber Rinseless (as well as D114 and McKee's N-914) for rinseless washes with this LSP...

I've used both and would give the edge to CanCoat. Slightly easier to apply than PNS and leaves a slick finish as opposed to PNS which is a bit more tacky. I had no issues using BSD with CanCoat for maintenance...

    Re: Gyeon CanCoat

There is very little info on their page here about some things with CanCoat, so I'd like to ask a few questions.

    1) Can it be used on glass and trim?

    2) What type of prep is required?

    3) How many applications in a 'can'?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out.

I'll stick with PNS, $10.00 less and 40% more product, 340ml. vs 200ml. I easily get 6 months durability out of it with one coat down here in Florida.

I did my Rogue a couple weeks ago as pollen season is in full swing. It rained the other day pretty hard which is rare this time of the year and all the pollen was washed away by the rain.
