    I Dunno..... OR..Does Zaino = Duragloss?
"Sal Zaino has a long history as an outstanding Custom Automobile Painter and Body man. His work can be seen at Custom auto shows around the country as well as the pages of many fine automobile magazines. Back in the late 70s Sal was not happy at all with the car waxes/polishes on the market so with the aid of a chemist and many years of research and testing he was able to create a totally new breed of polish and car care products. Some of his revolutionary products actually have their birthplace in the aerospace industry."

If 101 will last through a Michigan winter, it should be good enough for my needs. And it does.

So Dr. Bill, the chemist, decided he would come up with a better and easier way to make their cars look the best. The legend has it that Dr. Bill had already come up with the formula for one of the most widely used auto detailing products of the time, so it was no problem to look at the problem "outside the box" and utilize different chemistry and processes to solve the problem. Hence, "Duragloss, The Wet Look Polish & Cleaner #101."
I was fortunate to be nearby when Brothers Research began marketing products and got #101 for my 1976 280Z & then ZX sports cars. It was fantastic. Definitely has the "Wet Look."
All that said...my experience is that #101 looks fantastic, but does not have the longevity of the newer developed Total Performance Polish. #101 does have more cleaning ability than TPP #105.
    What years was that?

    It was 1975 - 76ish. But I dunno -- you tell me.
Wasn't it in the 80's or 90's DG sponsored a local NASCAR team? Simple Duragloss question

    Thanks!

I wish I knew a little more about the company. They seemed to be ahead of their time with some things.
