    Your Weekly Paint Maintenance Regimen

Just wanted to see what everyone does to maintain their paint weekly in regards to:

    WASHING

Two Bucket Car Wash Soap, Waterless Wash, or Rinseless Wash.

If you use any Spray Waxes or Detailers

Like what combos of products do you predominately use to maintain the gloss, cleaness, and beauty of you paint on a weekly basis.

Ok to include names of products also.

    Thanks all!

Re: Your Weekly Paint Maintenance Regimen

I alternate between rinseless and 2 bucket wash depending on how dirty my car is

    Rinseless
D114 with the Big Red Sponge dry with 1 damp MF towel followed by TRC Pluffle towel

2 bucket wash (sometimes + pressure washer/foam cannon)
    Megs Hyper wash
    Dub Wheel Cleaner
    LATA (tires and wheel wells)
dry with gas leaf blower or TRC Pluffle towel

Optimum tire gel on tires and CG V07 on wheels after washing as a gloss enhancerv(using up my gallon)

If you have a good LSP on your paint, and you perform weekly or bi weekly washes, imo a rinseless wash is all you need. No fuss, no mess, it's quick and very safe. I prefer rinseless products that put added protection back on the paint. I like building layers of protection whenever I touch the paint. I usually put a spray wax on the wheels after I wash and hit the interior with a brief waterless wash product that has protection in it as well.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

I do my best to wash weekly, but sometimes that can't happen. I wash mine with a foam cannon and 2 bucket method every time. I tried rinseless and I wasn't a fan at the time plus I live on a gravel drive so naturally my truck gets pretty dirty despite my best effort. Time depending, I try to apply Wolfgang Liquid Seal after every wash. I also use Wolfgang Uber Rinseless diluting it to detail spray ratio and that stuff is amazing! It is very slick and glossy. The surface after using the detail spray is nice and smooth too! This works pretty well for me.

Not so much weekly, it all depends on the weather.
I do the Gerry Dean rinseless wash, followed by drying with D156. If my car isn't too dirty, I'll do a waterless wash.

Re: Your Weekly Paint Maintenance Regimen

I do two bucket washes on an as-needed basis. This time of year between the rain and the pollen, it can almost be a weekly event.

I've used several different car shampoo's from here and never been disappointed. Since my wash area has no shade, I'll often resort to using a spray wax like Meguiars Ultimate Quik wax or a waterless wash like the Pinnacle Waterless Wash with Carnauba as a drying aid to help deal with water spotting.

Re: Your Weekly Paint Maintenance Regimen

I have always done a 2-bucket wash on an as needed basis. I also have a dedicated bucket for my wheels-wheel wells so I don't introduce those contaminents into my paint wash bucket

    Rinseless
I just ordered Wolfgang Uber and plan on trying it next week.

    Paint
    - 2 bucket wash - sometimes use my pressure washer+foam cannon. Depends on the time of year as I live in ND.
    - Optimum car wash
    - Microfiber Madness wash pad
    - Metro Master Blaster + Uber Super Drying Towel or CG Wooly Mammoth to dry

    Wheels-Tires-Wheel Wells
    - Meg's Wheel Brightener + wheel wollies + boars hair brush
    - Meg's Super Degreaser and APC for the tires and wheel wells
    - Metro Master Blaster to dry

I always follow up with a detail spray - Kenotek Showroom Shine or CG V07. I've been using Poorboys Bold & Bright on the tires and recently ordered CarPro Perl which I plan on trying soon.
    2018 Ford F150 - Ruby Red Metallic
2019 Honda Odyssey - Obsidian Blue

Can rinse less or water less be used on a black vehicle? This scares me..also how do you clean the wheel wells if they are dirty when doing a rinse less or waterless?

    @ lane5515:

you're one of the few that uses Kenotek detail spray. I've had my eye on it for a while. Not many places carry it. Its marketed as an anti-static spray. What do you like about the product?

    Mr willowcat11,

On average maintenance wash bi-weekly dependent upon weather activity.

    2BM + occasional foam gun
    (3) natural sea sponge
    plenty microfiber towels

Optimum Car Wash + 1 pump DoDo Supernatural as a 'booster'
    303 Aerospace Protectant ( 1 week minimum refresh )
Optimum Car Wax ( used as QD )

Current LSP Gtech C2v3 ( until supply depletes )
