Angry HELP! I ruined my black truck.

So, after watching numerous YouTube videos on auto polishing (mostly chemical guys) I decided I was ready...I was wrong. I used a Chicago Electric with a Blue Pad and Maguires Polish/Wax combo. The product dried out really fast, so I added another squirt of water to the pad with devastating results. These specs are as hard as paint. See photos. What did I do wrong and can it be fixed?

Try a claybar and a lot of elbow grease?

Ok, so it sounds like you used a rotary, and it looks like you splattered a lot of polish. When you say "Megiuar's Polish/Wax combo", can you be a little more specific on the product--does it have a number on it, or a more precise name?

Have you tried washing the vehicle?

Washing does't work - It is hard as a rock. Yes, I used a rotary polisher. I used Dual Action Cleaner/Polisher #83. I haven't tried elbow grease yet...worried about what product to use with the elbow grease. These specs are everywhere.

I'd try using IPA and/or clay barring it.

Clay bar should take care of it. I'd start by soaking an old bath towel with water and laying it on an area before try to clay, that should help soften the splatter a bit.

You could also try a body prep solvent, IPA or dilute all purpose cleaner, but that would use a lot more product.

Try going back over with 83 by hand. The wipers and any plastic use a carpet cleaner in a foam aerosol ,when you spray it the foam will cling to the surface and with some agitation you should be good.

Yea your butchered that job. Do you have a pressure washer?I would snow foam it and let it set for a while. Then clay bar and pressure wash off. Go buy a Flex.

I would try to pressure wash it to hopefully remove some of that mess before claying.
