Unhappy Wet Sand Procedure in Coin Wash.

Was waiting to use the wand for a quick rinse, and look what I found.

He was sanding his "baby" away with the 2000grit wash wand. I wanted to stop him so bad...

He probably has one of those wax spreaders to buff it out...

Ignorance is bliss in these situations... the guy clearly isn't aware of what we consider "proper maintenance", but to him, he is keeping his car clean and that is a step above a lot of vehicle owners.

C'mon... there has to be part of you that wishes you didn't know what a swirl mark was?

I used to do this back in the day. It really didn't destroy my cars paint. Assuming I ever did actual damage my super filler filled wax covered it up well enough no-one else notice it either. Life was easier before I found this forum.

If I had my own shop, I would have. Having a tough time doing my own with limited space. I'd have Zach do mine, but I can't afford him.

Correct. He is definitely keeping his baby clean. Lol. I wish my eye sight was bad enough to NOT see swirl marks.
