Yeah Penetrol was something I read about people using on a Wrangler forum. But if I'm going to recommend something for use a vehicle that's not my own, I'd rather it be a product meant for trim not oil based house paint.

LOL I'm here!
Yes, I recommend Penetrol.
It was originally discovered in the Jeep world.
Works awesome! :dblthumb2:

I don't have the WG ext. trim sealant, but have heard great things about it.
:iagree:
Dlux lasts over a year, not months. WG trim sealant is also excellent. Those would be my top two choices.

Pardon my bluntness, but the plastic trim on a Jeep Wrangler is literally no different than the plastic trim on any other vehicle. There's simply MORE of it than on a usual vehicle, so you have to be extra mindful of its appearance. Nissan Xterras had the same fate and it hurts to see one that has been neglected.
The suggestions to use Wolfgang ETS is spot on, but the biggest enemy of plastic trim is UV deterioration from sunlight.
If your SIL wants to keep the Jeep looking great, park it in the shade (being mindful of tree sap!) or in a garage.
If she (or her husband) regularly hand washes the vehicle, a followup with some OCW (on all painted and plastic surfaces) should provide a decent amount of protection.

I like 303. I've had great success with WGDGLS. Great protection, durability about 6-8 months.
