I use dish gloves... that's all you'll need on your hands. Since they are rubber you're hands will be plenty warm in them (at least mine are).
Optimum No Rinse is good for that quick winter clean up.

Check out Cabela's for full finger angler gloves. I have had a pair similar to these for years. Just used them last week temp 35F.

Is the resulting solution inappropriate to use as a detail spray without the additional .36oz per gallon? Does it make a functional difference?

I take hot water from home in a gamma sealed bucket if I want to do everything at the coin op, this helps keep my hands warmer. I put on some thin gloves, just enough to keep my hands a little more comfortable. I then put my nitrile gloves over top to keep the heat in and the water off of the gloves. When I dip my hands into the warm water bucket it's a nice little treat.
Good idea! There used to be a pay and spray about 1.5 miles away from my house but they tore it down now I have to drive 6 miles. I thought about the hot water but hot water freezes faster and I'm worried my car doors wont open in the morning...

I have a similar question too. I wonder if I could just make a gallon at detail spray dilution and use it for waterless as well. I figured I'd use detail spray dilution since it's a stronger solution in hope that it is more lubricious.

To prevent freezing use a product like Gummy Pledge or just plain old dielectric grease on your door seals. They are both silicone grease.

And the water should hold its heat quite a while.
