Mine looks similar... it's pitting from road debris (salt, sand, gravel, etc). Did/do you do a lot of highway driving?

Yes there's quite a few highway miles on it. I feared that's what it was. Anything that can fill that in?

If you find something, please do let me know.

I think my car had some of its early life in a sandy/dry area in Texas, and the glass took a lot of abuse. I have used clay, razor blades, polish and every trick I know to make the glass look better, without any positive results.

It's not bad or dangerous, just annoying—especially driving into a sunset.

What do they use on the roads in winter in central PA? Here it's salt and in other parts of the Midwest where this car spent much of its life, it's a salt/sand mix. Brutal on windshields and front ends, especially with highway speeds involved.

Yikes. I'm not totally sure I think it's ashes locally and then chemical/cinders mix on the Interstate. The other thing I just remembered is that the car itself is a 2012 I bought it brand new and the windshield was replaced in 2014. It makes no sense but I'll give polish a try.

    CarPro Ceriglass.
I just used some to get etchings out of glass and it worked great. Prepare yourself for a workout though. My suggestion is a CarPro rayon pad for a DA.

P.s. If you polish the glass i suggest a beach towel to cover the area where the windshield wipers are. Polishing glass can be a messy affair.

Also to prevent spatter, Do not lift the DA from the glass until you turn off the da.

It could be dirt or it could be from driving if the cars old. The front glass gets sandblasted essentially when you drives, especially at hire speeds.

Good cleaning method i've found is to wash the glass with normal car soap, clay it, then use a razor blade and lube to shave any remaining particles ( I don't as I haven't had a need to do it and I don't take any chances scratching the glass. Following this good glass cleaner (stoners invisible glass) and see if that makes a difference.

If the issue is still there then it's most likely you've got pitting so the only solution is get a new front glass. If you have automotive glass insurance you might be able to get a free replacement.
