    Dull chrome trim "belt line"

Working on a well care for 2005 Jaguar. Has lots of chrome accents that are in great shape EXCEPT for the chrome trim around the side windows. It's dull and looks like it has been stained by oxidation/water spots. I tries a few polishes (Wolfgang Aluminum Concours Polish and Wenol) as well as Optimum GPS spray all in one polish. I even used some 0000 steel wool and NOTHING touches it to brighten it up. Any ideas?

I found "Klasse All in one" does a nice job on dull chrome. I use it on jewelry as well.

    I don't think it's chrome. Possibly it's anodized aluminum.

When the coating dulls not much you can do but replace or re-anodize which is`nt cheap.
