powder coated wheel
so i am supposed to detail this beast of a truck this week.
I have never worked on a truck with powder coated wheels.
My question is after they are cleaned are you supposed to put any thing on them? like wax or wheel glaze or any other pruduct

Re: powder coated wheel
The wheels on my truck and my subie are both powder coated. (Sti has gloss black and tundra has matte black) I wash them with Meg's non acid wheel cleaner at 4:1 for typicall cleaning. If they're very dirty, I follow the Meg's with ironX paste and wash with that. Then when dry I just hit with a QD and call it a day.

Re: powder coated wheel
My wheels are powder coated, and I've used all the following products on them safely:
Sonax wheel cleaner
Chemical guys diablo
DUB
IronX
Gtechniq Panel Wipe
Meg's degreaser
Meg's APC
Gtechniq C5
PBL wheel coating
Hydro2

Re: powder coated wheel
If it's really caked on then use a cleaner specified for wheels. If not, use regular car soap and water, that's what I do

would you put a wax on them?

Re: powder coated wheel
You could, but sealants and coatings would last longer.
