Red face new to your world and NEED HELP please

    Hello autogeekers…

I am new to your world
I just start it 2 years ago
However, unfortunately and for some personal issues I didn’t complete it

At that time, I bought many items as recommended by some friends, who were just start detailing their cars personally like me that time…

Anyway, as I just bought a new VOLVO XC 90 2016 – whitish crystal pearl metallic, & I suppose to receive on December in Sweden, the passion came back

Since 1 month, I did not stop re-reading everywhere
So, I need your help now please, to make my lists of item that I need to start again my passion

Re: new to your world and NEED HELP please

    Welcome to Autogeek!
My main suggestion is to get Optimum No Rinse for washing and clay lube. Also get a nanoskin clay towel, much better than the mitt.
    Detailers Pro Wheel Coating
    Cquartz UK paint coating
    Have fun!

For washing, drying, and claying, I do not think you need anything new. What you have will work.

For engine cleaning, something like Meg's APC or Optimum Power Clean.

Re: new to your world and NEED HELP please

Here I narrowed down your list in my opinion. My suggestions in ()

    WASHING

Optimum no rinse wash & shine
Carpro Trix (does the job of Iron-X and Tar-X in one)
    Carpro Spotless mineral remover
Meguiars Microfibre wash Mitt (2 or 3 of these)
CG STRONG WASH - Bug Tar & Grime remover
Bilt Hamber - Surfex HD Degreaser 1L (I would substitute with Meguiar's SD)

    Deconatmination
IronX paste (strongest one) with the Incredisponge.

    Clay
Speedy Surface Prep Towel - Fine Grade
Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine lube

    Drying
    leaf blower
    MF WW towel

    POLISHING:

    Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845
    Meguiars M105 Ultra-Cut Compound
Meguiars ultimate compound, polish and liquid wax

Griots 6" polisher (much better than the Meguiar's)
    Menzerna 3.5" Pkg/3spot pads
Lake Country Flat pads 6pack (2 orange, 2 white OR green, 1 yellow, and 1 black) Maybe even 2 packs of 6.

    POLISHANGEL® | WAX&COATING PLANETS APPLIKATOR
    Autoglym - Metal Polish

    COATING:
    Carpro CQUK
    Carpro ReLoad

    GLASS

    Carpro glass ERASER
    Carpro Ceriglass
    Carpro FlyBy
    Carpro Cloud buster Madness MF
    Opti-glass coating
Stoner Invisible Glass Cleaner With Rain Repellent
    Surgical huck towels
    Glass Master Pro Combo

    WHEELS

ZEP Heavy-Duty Citrus Degreaser (sub for Meguiar's SD)
    SONAX Wheel Cleaner Full Effect
CarPro PERL Coat Plastic & Rubber Protectant
Optimum Power Clean All Purpose Cleaner
    Clean Wheel Lug Nut Brush
    Mothers Detail Brush Set
AutoGlym wheel brush with the green handle
    Speed Master Wheel Brush
Valet Pro - Inch Round Wheel Brush

    Coating wheel

    CQUK
Carpro PERL (Works awesome on tires too)
    Meguiar's Hyper Dressing
    Poorboys Wheel Sealant

    ENGINE
    Clean:
I would use a degreaser such as Meguiars Super Degreaser (along with the same in place of any of the other Degreasers on your llist)

    Dressing & Coating:
(HYPER DRESSING by Meguiar's OR PERL)

    INERIOR

    Leather:
Laitner Grip-It Fender & Body Brush
    Cquartz Leather & Vinyl Coat

    Carpet:
    SONAX Upholstery & Carpet Cleaner
Natural Tampico Upholstery & Carpet Scrub Brush
    Clean Vent Kit
303 Aerospace Protectant 32oz (you will love the stuff buy a bigger bottle right off but its not for carpet!!!!)

Ridgid wet vac $80 (use the wet vac instead of the bissel)
Automagic ez clean hd hand shampoo concentrate gallon $
    Meguiars APC D101

You "need" to get products for the glass and interior. but otherwise, why by more stuff when you already have plenty of products? Forget about getting "the best" because there is no such thing. What you need is to JUST DO IT. Maybe you won't like some of the products you already have, but you'll never know until you get started. But just get started!

You have washing, polishing and the wheels already covered with the products you have. You can try something different when those are gone.

If you're planning on having Finest or OCP applied, I'd skip buying the majority of the items listed. Just let the professional handle most of the work. He/she will likely want to polish the vehicle themselves before application.

I vote to buy the car, wash it, clay it and then layer on your favorite wax. Let the pro take care of all the correction work.
