Clay towel/mitt on textured plastic trim?
I was wondering if you can use a clay towel/mitt on textured black plastic trim. Would it damage the plastic trim on fenders and bumpers.
I wouldn't use a clay bar due to it possibly leaving some clay in the texture, but since the towel is more of a solid and not plasticky, I guess there'd be nothing to clog the trim's texture. But, would it abrade the plastic?
If not recommended on plastic trim, what would you suggest to do a complete decon on black plastic trim?... (I'm looking at using Iron X, & Tar X along with a good brush). Is Zep Citrus mixed at 4:1 or maybe 10:1 safe, or would this strip the oils out of the plastic? I'm looking to do this decon prior to using Gyeon Prep, and Gyeon Trim.
