Best compound/polish combo before CQuartz UK?

Trying to plan ahead for this spring/summer. I have some CQuartz UK I want to apply to my 2014 black Subaru STi. I have Wolfgang Uber, TSR, Finishing Glaze. Not sure how fond I was of the Uber desite hearing so many rave reviews; seemed to dust more than I expected when I used it last year prior to apply Pinnacle Black Label paint coating.

Carpro recommends Fixer/Reflect combo prior to CQuartz, but after doing a little review research, it seems a decent amount of people weren't too happy with it.

I will be using crimson HT pads on a GG 6 inch DA. Anyone have any good experiences with any other combos using similar/same tools as me?

well last year at this time i used menzerna fg 400. I didn't go to menzerna 4000 but you can if you are ambitious. just make sure you do a good eraser wipe down because i believe it has alot of oils. I dont see the purpose of using a finishing glaze because you would just be removing it with the eraser. I had very good results on a lexus IS 250

It does not matter what polish and or compound you use to correct the paint what matters is how you prep the paint after the correction and prior to the application of the coating.

What you have is fine I wouldn't use the Finishing Glaze however.

I would use the Carpro eraser to prep the paint befor applying the CQUK

The Uber is similar to FG400. You should be able to go straight to the WG finishing glaze after that. They say it doesn't have any fillers in it so that should be fine. Again make sure you clean the paint good before coating. CarPro a Reflect is also a nice polish. It does wipe off a little easier.

I have almost all the wolfgang correction products they are great but all have fillers/oils. Even with a good ipa wipe down u can get what I call contamination when applying the coating. I had a issue with gloss coat and found out this was the problem when I had random haze. It might not have been noticeable on most car colors but on my black paint it shows everything especially under lighting. When using coatings I really recommend using "the system" method and use correction products of the same brand as the coating u plan to put on. In most cases that means there are no fillers or oils that could contaminate the coating process. I know the iPa wipe down should prevent this but it's not worth the risk for me if it does not get everything. After the paint is corrected make sure is very very clean. good luck!

I have not tried them (REALLY want to though) but the HD polishes are supposed to be very low dusting (remember that anything dusts if used incorrectly though) and super easy to wipe away with no oils.
