Steam cleaning the engine and undercarriage.

Ive found this detailing shop with steam engine cleaning and undercarriage cleaning. Its $150. Is it advisable? Im a little worried about electrical wirings that might be damage while doing the steam cleaning. Please let me know your opinions. Thanks in advance!

It all depends on what they mean by steam cleaning. If its dry vapor steam then you have no problems. If its wet steam, they you just have to make sure they cover sensitive electrical components.

I all depends on the skill of the guy using the steam. If he is careful you shouldn't have any problems. If he is willy-nilly you could have issues with electrical connections.

See if they can educate you. That's the first thing I do with new customers. I want them to know what they are buying and why it's valuable coming from me.
