Good mechanic - NOT very good with detailing

I like this Scotty Kilmer guy, but he's really behind on modern detailing techniques..watch for yourself.

I love how there's chunks of tanbark or something all over the applicator and in the wax too!!! The end explains it all....

Ah, Scotty is OK. I saw him use a Megs polisher in one video.

Yeah, I mean that might not be the greatest advice for here, but it's not bad advice for the masses. I wish he'd put the wax on a little thinner, though. And he put his absorber back in the tube like a good boy, I have a really old Meg's WW that came in a tube like that, that I always put it away in after I wash it.

    Oh boy...

Although, teaching people to at least put a coat of wax on their paint saves the clearcoat from failing as soon. I'm at the dealerships/detail shops quite often and hear people complaining how their paint failed within 5 years! My first question, did you wax the vehicle...ever? The answer is 9/10 times the same...

He's a mechanic, not a detailer. For 99% of people who watch his videos, the information he gave is better than what most people probably do.

It was painful to watch, I think he's running out of topics.
