Half, depends how tired I am. Feel like I can get it thinner with the machine but more convenient doing it by hand.

Re: How many of you use a MACHINE to WAX your vehicle?
As a weekend warrior, time isn't really a concern. I prefer to take my time and go over the car by hand. I enjoy any time I can get to be alone in my garage to drink a beer and rock some tunes, so why not make it last longer.

After waxing with a 3401 I maintain with spray polymer quick waxes. So my personal vehicles do not get buffed that often. They are also garaged which helps.

Whenever you can use a machine to cut labor time, increase productivity and do it more consistently I'm all in. And it saves on product since it applies it thinner and more efficiently.

I use the machine most of the time, my GG 6" and black lake country pad. It lays out a nice thin layer. I still use hand from time to time though, I love to wax "old school".

Using the Flex saves so much time and helps make for an even application.

Tried waxing with a machine for the first time last fall and don't think I'll ever do it by hand again. Easier, faster, more consistent/ better results and you use less product.

Ive used both, started with machine, but feel better doing it by hand. I think I use less by hand, as I can use a thinner pad and keep pressing it to get more out of the pad. If I do a truck i use a machine because everything is flat. I personally don't notice a big time difference.
Hobbyist here btw
