Re: Give us your best Detailing invention or service idea
how about a wash mitt/pad on a long reach handle so you can reach to the middle of van roofs etc without being at full stretch. i have a hop up platform that i work from, but it can still be an issue on some of the bigger vehicles. i also have to jump down to dunk my mitt each time. with a long handle i could dunk from my platform

What about a heated hose or a pipe that goes between the hose and your gun that is heated? I couldnt imagine it being that difficult. A heated coil that ran the whole length of the hose or just in the pipe that heated the water up.

They make those. Silly expensive though.

Heat tape. Make sure your GFCIs are working!
I'm lucky that the previous owner piped hot water to my garage hose bib.

As long as we are talking, "washing in COLD weather" don't do as I did a few years back.
Sun was out, actually above freezing too. Said to self, "Let's get that damn'd car de-salted and washed!" Noooo problem, (I have a hot water spigot) except I forgot about the ground (driveway) was still WAY below 32°. Instant ice!
As they say, "Well THAT didn't work out to well."
Bill
In dog beers, I've only had one.

Well, If the area was properly lighted, heated, DI water for rinsing, low and high pressure wands available and had a proper heated blower for drying I would!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a separate, cheaper area for applying dressing and QD too.
Cheaper prices in warmer weather with low, no heating bill.

Well it's a really inefficient means of actually heating water. Most of them are specifically to keep hoses from freezing.

Wow. You make my sweet deal seem even sweeter. I have a friend whos been selling cars for years. He has a heated one year old wash bay. Lots of lighting. Big enough for two vehicles at a time. Big drain in the floor. I rent it for my business at $300 per month and they pay utilities! we advertise for each other and I advertise on their lighted sign board. We're located on our counties main highway between the 2 largest towns and right down from McDonalds and Wal Mart!
