Poorboys Spray and Rinse wheel cleaner is eating my sprayers!

    Ive tried everything!

The one that came with it just stopped working after the first time,
Even the home depot chemical ones quit after like one use!

What the hell is going on?!?!

I too learned quite quickly to remove the sprayer when not in use.

Thats one reason why I dont use that stuff. PB spray and rinse is a very strong wheel cleaner, it is acidic, so you will need a heavy duty chemical resistant sprayer. The ones at homedepot should be strong enough if they are indeed chemical resistant.

I have some stuff that I thought was very acidic, its purple and says "Wheel Brightener", came in a gallon, thats what the guy at my dealership used to use. I have since learned better, and know that it is very strong, but I still use it very diluted to clean my stock wheels, as I plan on replacing them soon anyway and it doesnt seem to harm them.

back on topic... at one point I had this stuff in a regular home depot type spray bttle, and it was fine. I had it in there 100% for awhile, and for a long time diluted, same spray bottle still goin strong...

I have the same stuff, meguiar's wheel brightener, and it makes the sprayers stop working every few weeks. If I disconnect the hose and pump the sprayer a few times, and then reattach it the sprayer starts working again. I have no idea why, but it starts working.

The reason why all of these sprayers are failing is because all of these wheel cleaners are strong cleaners which contain acids, they begin to dissolve the plastic in the sprayer, which makes it not work.

Spray and rinse already comes with chemical resistant sprayer (grey), but it still does not hold up well enough to this strong acid...

just so we are clear ... PB Spray/Rinse is Citric Acid based and yes quite strong, but nowhere near as strong as most store bought wheel cleaners carrying Hydrocloric Acid as their base.
