Correct Steps to Remove Sticker Residue

I removed a sticker that was located on the top of the gas tank of my new-to-me motorcycle. There is still a residue that I can't seem to get rid of. Can someone help me out? I only have the ability to work by hand btw.

Here are the steps I took so far:

    - Remove sticker using slight heat from heat gun
    - Used WD-40 to remove most of the remaining sticky residue
    - Used Dawn dish soap to remove remaining WD-40 and residue
    - Applied Meguiar's Scratch X, allowed to haze, buffed off

After these steps, there is still visible remaining residue. Please see the pictures below to see what I am referring to.

Is there a product that will for sure take care of this without a doubt? Obviously, I would like to not damage the paint in the process. However, at the same time, it is not a show bike and gets ridden almost daily so the paint is far from showroom quality.

    What do you suggest?

lacquer thinner or acetone if the bike is clear coated, otherwise mineral spirits or goo gone

A lot of bikes are single stage, I would try Goo Gone.

I went ahead and purchased Goo Gone and applied it late last night. It took care of the remaining residue and it looks like nothing was ever there.

Everything looks great. Thanks for the help!

CarPro TarX Tar & Adhesive remover always gets the job done for me.

Edit: never mind, looks like you got the adhesive off.

glad you got it off. this is why i keep prep solvent on hand. no residue or oils and is pretty powerful while being safe for most materials. you could even use it as an LSP prep since it's a paint prep product but it's not necessary when IPA will do just fine.

i have a gallon of Maxx Solv that i use to fill an old 32 oz Prep-All can for my product shelf.
