D108 Super Degreaser uses
What should I NOT use D108 on?
Is it safe for paint?

Re: D108 Super Degreaser uses
Hope the following helps:
Here's its MSDS:
http://www.meguiars.co.uk/attach/dow...2680783_uk.pdf
•Contains Potassium hydroxide...
Use it on an aluminum wheel without a clear coat...
(Or aluminum clear-coated wheels with chips in them)
and you are not going to be very happy camper:
Potassium Hydroxide eats aluminum, and will turn it brown!
Also:
Here's a pertinent posting by a bona fide Chemist

No. Not pretty sure:
You want to be absolutely, certainly, overly confidently sure---cocksure as it were---that they're coated...and with absolutely no breaches, whatsoever, in said coating!!
Here's an article on how to test for bare and coated aluminum:

Remember:
Unless you are removing the wheel/tire assembly to clean them:
There's the braking components to worry about. May not want to get any of this degreaser on something that crucial.

Although I'm quoted by proxy as saying its nasty, I will admit to using D108. I use it strictly for tires when other options fail. In those cases, I apply directly to the brush and scrub. Again, this is only when OPC, LATA and a couple others can't cut it. I would avoid using it on wheels unless all else has failed and you're sure the coating is full enact. I would however use it before strong acid wheel cleaners.

That guy that goes by Auto Fetish Detail sounds like he uses D108 for everything almost...
Made me wonder about how sound his advice is.

It works well! It'll bust the stains out of a microfiber towel too!
