    M205 or SF4500?

I am polishing out a White Camaro next weekend for a car show. I was wondering if I should use M205 (already have) or pick up some SF4500 for the final polishing step. I will be using WG Uber for the compounding step.

    Thanks!!

Well since Uber Compound finishes out really nice. Since you already have it I would assume M205 would work great. If anything I think pad choice would be something you might want to consider changing first if you aren't getting the results you are after along with speed and pressure, passes, technique, etc...

So what pad(s) and machine(s) are you planning on using?

Use what you have. You could even use M205 on a finishing pad and see how it finishes.

Will be using a GGDA. I was planning on orange pad for the compund, and white pad for finishing. I think I have a couple of blue and black pads also that I can go down to for the finishing step.

What you have on hand will be fine. M205 on white will pull out any hazing left from your first step and finish out really well.

M205 can finish just as well as 4500. Stick with it. Actually carpro reflect or HD polish blows them both out of the water in my opinion but we're talking about polishing white here, so stick with the 205 and save money.

Want to know what looks insane on white ...?..DG 501. I mean insane. Just a thought.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

If I go with the DG 501, which pad should I use? I have no experience with Duragloss products.

I know with white that no matter what I finish with, there isn't going to be a great deal of difference looks wise. This car won it's class last year at this car show and I would like to repeat last years win. If it wasn't for a dealership wrecking the finish when it went in for service I wouldn't have to go through this much trouble.

Use a White foam pad for Duragloss #501.

I've used just about all of what Duragloss offers and have never been disappointed with any of their products. Duragloss Aquawax is one of the best spray waxes out there and is perfect for use once every few weeks to keep that gloss looking beautiful...

WG Compound will finish out LSP ready if you do the SMACK technique. The last passes should be light and let the machine just glide over the paint. If you want more, just like everyone else says, use what you have now before you buy more. Buy more later when you want to try something.
I use FG400 with a MEGS Cutting disc on a white Dodge work truck, using the technique I mentioned above allowed me to finish LSP ready.
