Need help on CarPro CQuartz DLux vs. Gtechniq C4

So I narrowed it down to this from my previous thread. I started a new one so I can keep the debate between the two here. Also so I can record what I end up doing, with pictures of course.

Anyway, here is my issue. I have a King Ranch truck that has both tan and black plastics. Both are faded but NO where near what I see as bad. Its still black, not gray at all... though the tan is faded and not as dark as once was. This is why Im searching for something else that is clear ( I cant use Solution finish, Black Wow etc )

What I wanted to know from the Veterans is about application/durability of the two aforementioned items. I read some reviews on them both the forum and the store. The store has bad and good, but I didnt come across anything bad via the forum.

Is one or the other harder to apply or is one more or less forgiving?

My cowl has a lot of corners and raised sections ( think deep impressions ). Can I use one of those foam staining brushes to get into all the crevices? Maybe get some makeup application wedges too?

You can certainly use Black Wow...it doesn't add any color. I would use UTTG or WETS since yours isn't badly faded. But between C4 and DLux, I would go with DLux, just because my C4 always crusts up in the bottle and gets more difficult to apply.

But the UTTG isn't as permanent, so why apply something that will only last 3mths when you can apply something that lasts 1-2 years? Honestly, am I missing something?

Dlux is good but its kind of a pain to apply with all the prep work that's involved. I think Swanicyouth did a head to head against C4 and Dlux was the clear winner in regards to durability.

I found those foam paint brushes made for a good applicator. Be careful not to get any on paint or mirrors or glass. Might be a good idea to tape off those areas cause it's a pain to remove afterwords.

Thanks! The only prep I could see with Dlux would be the wipe with IPA or Prep-sol?

Correct, if the trim is bad, use a water spot remover to prep.

True, but UTTG would need to be applied every three months. Dlux once say 1.5 years. Less work...?

Again, Im not battling here. Just trying to see your POV.
