    Buying a new car.....

Just bought a new car and just like when I bought my 08' RAV the paint is far from perfect, for most they think wow, look at that shine.

On the car I just bought, the Mitsubishi 2014 Mirage the paint had swirls, didn't have that showroom shine and you could see the protection they added with the using the wrap to protect the paint from acid rain, etc.
The paint was rough so the first thing I did was wash the car, used my Handy Prep towel then started the polishing process.

The car is now looking like a showroom car, I think I'll drive over to where I bought it to show them the difference.
This isn't only on the cheaper models, even the most expensive cars have defects.
My guess is most people don't know the difference and the dealerships just don't take the time to prep then when they arrive.

Yes, it is unfortunate it happens to new cars and many people don't think about it either. Here's a thread where I wrote about it not to long ago.

Maybe later but now I'm sealing it.
Opti-Coat will come soon enough, I can only imagine the shine I'd get with applying it

^ That interior looks really nice.

People say that opti coat doesn't really add gloss/shine to the paint when applied. (maybe they don't see it) but in my eyes it does, it really does leave a glass like appearance.

^Here you can see the difference in the coated sections and it was done on beat up paint. So on nice healthy looking paint. IMO it brings a gloss that waxes or sealants don't provide.

my whole car is coated interior/exterior lol

I could never use Opti-Coat on my wife's RAV because it's single stage paint, this car however has clear coat.
One thing that doesn't show on this pic of the interior is it has a piano finish around the stereo which is a nice touch but I'll have to remove light swirls, yep they have them there too.
I tell you it's crazy how they clean cars at the dealerships.

I drove it, not much of a good drive but fun but only gets 38MPG.
    I came close
to buying it but sometimes my grand kids are with me so I needed a back seat.

Oh, cost a lot more too but it's sure a pretty car
