Gotta admit, not too impressed with AG Foam Gun

So I received an AG Foam gun for Fathers day and so far I am not too impressed at all, in fact I might sell it.

The first time I used it I only used 1 oz od DP Extreme Foam and 1-1.5 ozs of NST7 soap since I only had the 2oz DP Extreme Foam trial tube. The foam was pretty cool but I noticed that the suds pretty much slide right down my car. I would foam up one section, go get my Cobra mitt and barely get through that panel before the suds were all on the ground. Same thing on my wife's car. My neighbor borrowed it and used just NTS7 and ran into the same problem.

At this point I thought perhaps the NTS7 just wasnt cut out for the Foam Gun.

So I ordered a large bottle of DP Extreme Foam and gave it another try this weekend. I rinsed the car down and mixed 2 ozs of DP with about 8 ozs of water, shook well and sprayed some foam. It was a bit thicker but it still slid right down my car and I still barely got through a panel before the soap was on the ground.

Every time I used it I had it set on the setting right below "max foam". At this point I have to admit that this is the single most disappointing product I have bought from AG.

I had assumed it would spray thick foam that would adhere to the car for at least a while and go to work removing some tough dirt. It is really no different than a hand wash in terms of the look of the car afterwards but it a bit more a of pain than just a simple hand wash.

Well that is my review on the AG Foam Gun. Sorry AG

Yeah, I have a foam gun similar to the AG foam gun, same thing here.

I mainly use it for a pre-soak then use a regular bucket/soap to wash. It helps loosen some grime and crap from the paint before you wash.

maybe youre waiting too long before you start washing?? i dont know..

i personally love mine. I have it filled at about an inch with DP XF and the rest water. Shake and spray on full foam. The container is more than enough for the car, so, full foam is never a problem.

Maybe you should be taking this as a complement that your car is TOO waxxed, lol.

No I don't think that it is it. I spray a panel (like the door panel) put the foam gun down and pick up the wash mit. By the time I am nearly done with the panel 90% of the soap is on the driveway.

Perhaps my wax is just that slick and wouldnt that be cool...but I doubt it.

I foam the whole car down in the beginning and then use the two bucket method.
