    Meguiar's 105/205 or their Mf cc/finishing polish?

So I'm a newbie that has been bit by the detailing bug. I just trying to get my wish list ready for when the warmer weather comes. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the GG6 and the Meguiar's MF pads. So my question as the subject states should I use the MF compound and polish or 105/205?
    Thank you all in advance

    M105 is not for newbies

Rather than using 105 cutting compound, you usually can remove all the swirls with Meguiar's No. 9 Swirl Remover, then finish with sealant and then wax.

The dedicated MF system is foolproof and insanely easy to use to achieve amazing results. I would recommend D300 MF Correction Compound and M205 Polish.

    I agree as well.

I would recommend the megs microfiber cutting pad with D300 followed by M205 and a polishing foam pad. That would give a nice finish. You could also go with ultimate compound as that is user friendly with a foam cutting pad and follow that up with M205.

Megs MF is the way to go for a first time user. The compound especially is just incredibly user friendly. It buffs really smooth, has a long buffing cycle and will not dry up on the paint. wipeoff is alse excellent, as well as cut. For final polishing I would go with the new Megs MF polish instead of the finishing wax though.

The Meguiar's 105 Compound takes time to learn how to use it.
How about using Meguiar's Ultimate Compound? Over the counter product.
Even with all my compound choices I still use the Ultimate Compound at times, it can do some serious paint corrections and is very user friendly.
Another great compound is the Wolfgang Über Compound, decent work time, very little dusting and won't gum up on you like the Meguiar's 105 Compound can do at times.

The Meguiar's 205 Ultra Fine Polish is my go to polish, long work time, no dusting and wipes off like a dream

The Griot's Garage Buffer is very good, I've done some paint corrections that were thrashed and the buffer never backed down until it died on me but Griot's gives us a lifetime warranty so I'm sending it back, I spoke with Griot's, they said for me to send it back and they'll send me a new one.

    How bad is it really?

If you could post some photos there could be a more usable product recommendation for a compound.

It's possible you might not need a compound, instead just use M205 with a more aggressive pad then change pads for the finishing step.

But WG Uber Compound, Megs Ultimate Compound and M105 all would be good choices combined with the right pad choice depending.

They all can finish down well with the proper technique, LSP ready or very close to it depending.

Then follow up with M205 for the finishing step to really enhance the gloss using either a polishing or finishing pad depending.
