tap water hardness 120, distilled or not?
tap water in my area has a hardness of less than 120. Is it good enuf just to use tap water? for glass cleaners, ONR, OPC, etc?
in what case do I absolutely need distilled water?

You have hard tap water meaning that there is a lot of mineral's, and such distilled water don't have a hardness though you can use tap water with any your product's but it may effect it's power ever so slightly now if you seek the maximum performance of the product or have that special car then distilled water is a better choice.

That's fairly hard. What about a RO system in your house instead of running out to buy distilled?

You have what I'd call moderately hard water.
Except for a very slight increase in soap/detergent usage...
you should be good to go with your tap water, IMO.

I pay $4 per case (6 gl.) of distilled water. That is a miniscule cost for peace of mind in my opinion. I've never been one to settle for "good enough".
