Need to clean Foam and Microfiber

    Hi folks,

Do we need to clean or wash new/unused foam applicators and microfiber products for waxing and buffing straight from packages?

    Cheers!

In my opinion its necessary to wash microfiber towels before use and foam pads to be sure all particles that can harm paint is remove during washing process

Re: Need to clean Foam and Microfiber

I wash all new microfiber before use. Pads I use straight out of the sealed bags. Interested to hear what others say about pads as I guess I have never really thought about needing to clean them before first use.

Thanks folks! I felt I should cos there's a certain chemical smell in these foams and MF also. My issue is that after washing, the MF don't feel as soft as in the package hehehe.....cheers!
