Removing Xzilon coating?

I'm working on a BMW X5 with Xzilon coating offered by BMW dealers. BMW did a horrible job of not correcting the paint before applying the coat (surprised?).

Will a typical compound/polish regimen remove the coating and swirls?

Any polish should remove it. It's applied just like any other coating. As a matter of fact most Xzilon installers don't know what they're doing and apply the coating on top of any existing wax.

In many meeting with this stuff Ive only seen it properly installed a couple.of times. That being said any moderate polish should remove it quickly and efficiently.
