What are these/How do I get rid of them?! Driving me nuts

These are driving me crazy, they look like water spots, but they aren't really an outline, more of a spot, I've never seen it before, tons of light spots is what it sort of looks like, its tough to explain.

The odd things is in the the second picture, that area was recently compounded and polished, so I'n not sure why they are there.

Looks like etching in the paint but there hard too see in the pics.

My thoughts they are either bird bomb etching which have then created some crows feet.

Or they are type three water spots.

If you can, get a close up shot of these. From a distance they are hard to see.

I'll try to get a better picture, I think it might be a type 3 spot. The hood is covered in them so I doubt its all bird crap. I was gone for 2 months for the summer, during which time my mom never watched the car. Are these possible to remove? Its a 2007 BMW btw.
