Question Woolite 20:1 on interiors.... Is it outdated??

I dont see this being talked about to clean interiors anymore....

So im wondering why or why not?
    And who still uses it?
Any other thoughts, comments are always welcomed.

Re: Woolite 20:1 on interiors.... Is it outdated??

Originally I used it at 6:1, now I use 10:1...I still have a bottle of it mixed up, it's a good cheap solution that works. It's not as sexy as some other products, and I don't really like the smell (although there are plenty of products that I don't really like the smell of).

I'm not a pro, I'm presuming for a pro that a diluted APC is going to be more effective at broad-spectrum cleaning for the soils you would encounter. I think most forum members on their own car which is better cared for use something like Meg's QID or one of the similar products.

We're bombarded here on the forums by a huge number of products, with new and improved ones (and even step-changes in technology) all the time. So many of them serve the same function, and it's easy to get buried in the hype, if not just the mound of choices.

Thanks for the reminder that there are some simple, cheap, locally available products that work, like in the other recent thread where a member was successful using Folex.

Outdated or not it still works like a charm. I never cut it @ 20 to 1 though. I found that 6 to 1 took care of really dirty and 10 to 1 for regular cleaning was just right. Wouldn't be without Folex either for car or house.

I found that 20:1 always did a fine job WITHOUT leaving a residue. Also diluting with distilled water cuts the PH down to almost completely neutral... this way it is safer for finer leathers.... and i still found it would cut most any grime....

Still id always do a distilled water wipe afterward to remove any remaining cleaning residue

***Note: i almost always spray the towel with the mixture, not the surface

Outdated in terms of effectiveness as compared to other products.

I dont think it can ever be beaten in terms of cost to effectiveness ratio.

It just crossed my mind because I dont see it discussed, whereas going back a couple years ago it was talked about MUCH more frequently

IN a Toyota owners manual they recomend a wool detergent at 5% for cleaning leather, thats 20 to 1. I myself use 10 to 1.
