Re: The art of drying a black car
Yeah, it's damn near impossible to not get em. Soft, black Honda paint.

Damn it. This thread just made me purchase a Master Blaster! Can't wait to use it on my black beauty.

A couple of things to ponder:
1) drying with a master blaster is not quicker than other methods. In fact it can take longer if you are blowing water all over previously dried areas which is almost impossible to avoid.
2) if you missed a small area while washing (which again is almost impossible to avoid especially if you are in a hurry)...drying with air dies not eliminate the possibility of putting scratches in the paint. As soon as you wipe over the missed area (post drying step) you will scratch the paint regardless...unless you have good lubrication between the MF towel and the missed dirt. (ie air drying won't completely eliminate swirls if you have a post-drying step like applying a detail spray or spray wax/sealant).
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

I don't think anyone was looking for a quicker method but it does look like the most efficient.

Re: The art of drying a black car
I have the same car and what I do is wash it, dry it with meguiars water magnet, then spray quick detailers and wipe it off with a microfiber towel.
