    is my jeeps paint salvageable?

i've got a 2002 jeep liberty i just picked up to have some fun with. it is the salsa red pearl paint (that burnt orange coppery color). the paint has some fading like the pearl has gone wild or something. in the jambs you can see how much of a difference there is in the color. it's pretty faded. i have experience detailing, buffing and color sanding from 20 years in the field, but have no experience with this color. is it salvageable or is a respray a must? how do i try to salvage it?

Like Todd said, it's going to be hard to give you an honest answer unless you can provide us with a picture!

Sounds like you've got all the experience needed... I'll toss out a suggestion to play around with a test panel to see what progress you can make. Start out light and move up with aggressiveness as needed. Unless you're seeing clearcoat failure, I've got to think you can improve things. Good luck...
