Whats the best way to measure out bulk cleaners?
I bought Meg's glass cleaner, degreaser and APC in bulk gallon sizes. What Im wondering is, is there a cheap way ( w.o buying the gadget AG.com sell ) to measure these out for proper dilution? Or hell, maybe someone here is good with math? I use 22oz bottle. Here are the dilutions started in the bottles:
APC: 10:1 or 4:1
De-greaser: 10:1 or 4:1
Glass Cleaner: 10:1
What about PERL? It says :
1:1
1:3
Can someone figure out the water I would need versus the chemical for a 22oz bottle?
Thanks guys!

Go to enviro ones dilution calculator, great tool. Tells you oz of concentrate and water for any size container

Add the numbers/parts in the ratio and divide 22 by that sum. So 1:10(1 part chemical:10 parts water) is a total of 11(eleven) parts. So that means 22 divided by 11 equals 2. Multiply 2 by 1 and 10 to get a ratio of 2:20 or 1:10.

I would say get the Meguiar' silk screened bottles. The name of the product is printed right on the bottle so you never grab the wrong thing, and the dilution ratios are printed on the side.
Meguiars Spray Bottles, Meguiar's dispensers, squeeze bottles
However, if that is not an option, check out this thread, post #7:

Re: Whats the best way to measure out bulk cleaners?
I've tried the autogeek 1 oz pump and had to return it because it was honestly horrible. It broke and leaked and all sorts of stuff. I told them that and the person I talked to said that the issue would be brought up, but they haven't changed the item or taken it off the site. I REALLY wish they would sell the below item:
With that said, use this pump instead for your gallon bottles 1Gallon Pump for Shampoo Conditioner and Home Use Dispenser Free Delivery | eBay
What I do is for 22 oz since 20 is an even number to work with for ratios I only fill up to 20 oz.
So 1:4 would be 4 oz of concentrate and 16 oz water to make 20 oz bottle.
Just do 4 pumps of the gallon product fill water up to the 20 oz line.
1:10 would be 2 oz of concentrate and then fill water up to 22 oz line.
Makes it easy with that pump

Basically, add the two numbers up into one, and that's how many parts you want to separate your container into. If you were to dilute something 10:1, that'd be 11 parts total, and in a 22 oz bottle, that would be 2 ozs to a part. Thus you would add 2 oz of chemical and 20 oz of water.
4:1 is 5 parts, 4.4 oz to a part in a 22 oz container
3:1 is 4 parts, 5.5 oz to a part in a 22 oz container
As for dispensing the product from the jugs, listen to Ihaveacamaro, he made a thread a while back posing the same question and was determined to find one. I don't even wanna know how many gadgets that guy went through to find one that worked properly but I'm glad he did!
