heres a weird one... polishing prop armor

So one of my customers is wanting me to polish his prop armor for some type of role playing game... Polishing isn't a problem, but he is also wanting me to protect it in case of him getting stuck in the rain so Hus armor doesn't rust I'm thinking collonite 845 or maybe even Optiguard? Has anyone done this before? Or has anyone protected low quality stainless steel and protected it? Any tips are much appreciated!

One of the members here "Kevin Cullen" has a metal polishing shop. Perhaps he can help.
Try and shoot him a PM. He seems very helpful in his posts.

Try a coating like Sharkskin. I use it on my underhood polished aluminum parts.
