well, technically, anything can be used in the sun.

I wouldn't though. It will dry up entirely too quickly and will more than likely leave a bunch of streaking behind.

Thought not..thanks, I know that washing will remove C.M....... what about using a damp microfiber wipe and followed by dry microfiber towel, any reason to have to re-apply C.M.?

Bill, the first thing I do when I hit a car show is get the spary and wash and hit the front and get the bugs soaking. Next I us CM on the hood working backwards. The hood is usually hot from the trip and sometimes were are in the sun and if you use CM just do 2" by 3" areas and you will be fine. I normally hit the front fenders PS and CM after the spay and wash.

CM remains the most consistently smear free QD I've used. Usage in direct sun, no matter what the product, does appear to make streaking more likely though. My suggestion would be to mist only the Mf and then wipe when in the sun and if you feel you need to QD some more, try to get it in the shade and wait a while to give the paint a chance to get a little cooler.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Crystal Mist and Clearkote Quikshine streak very little even in direct sunlight. Now if the finish is hot to the touch, then consider refraining, otherwise I suspect you might be surprised .
