Re: Most regretted detailing product purchase
All the CG products with exception of their soaps...biggest waste of money!! Glad I figured that out early.

2wookies, couldn't agree more! They have some very good soaps, but just about everything I've used from them has left me wanting more or never gave the results that were so hyped up. I wish when I first started out I had found autogeek first as opposed to CG.

I've heard about enough about how "great" their soaps supposedly are.. lol.
Which is the greatest of all great CG soaps? I'm going to try it, and it better live up and be different than all the other car wash soaps and on par with Carpro Reset or somekind of greatness.
Recommend it. I'm all ears.

I've continued to purchase the Mr Pink soap over the years. Great smell, great suds and a gallon is relatively cheap.

Is it light years better than this Pink Soap?
If it is then I'll consider, but TBO I'm over this Pink soap and wasn't really looking forward to more "pink" soap.
What's your 1.b recommendation?

I'm not looking for cheap, I'm looking to be blown away.. Top of the Line CG soap. [not including $1,000 car wash soap, because I wouldn't be surprised if they sold some. Lol]

If you're looking for "blown away", look at the PA line of soaps. Pricey.

Oh, ive always liked the Ultimate Liquid Wax and Ultimste Liquid paste Wax for the price. For the price, they are pretty good.
It's just the Ulimate Protectant had too much sheen for the interior, and didn't last long enough for the exterior, and could be finicky. Took too much prep, to get it to work right. I'm not saying it's a bad product for others, just saying that after using WETS, and WCTS(wolfgang Cockpit trim sealant) there is never a reason for me to ever look back at UP. I get everything I could possibly want out of those two products for my interior and exterior trim.

If I owned a Bentley or something special that lived a pampered garaged life then I'd probably be interested in that sort of boutique soap... But in my world aka the world of daily drivers, I honestly don't think it would reap the same kind of rewards and therefore wouldn't quite blow me away.. Can you order a bottle of the finest aged wine at Chili's? No, because it makes no sense to be drinking it there. Lol.
Same way it wouldn't make sense for me to buy $55 tiny bottle of car soap to use on the daily driver that parks outdoors 24/7
All I wanna know is which Chemical Guys soap is worthy of all this hype about them having "great" soaps, but "everything else they sell sucks"
That must be some pretty darn good soap...
I'll give you a similar example that I actually stand behind:
I'm not interested in using 99% of what Turtle Wax sells... But when it comes to their Endura Tire Coat, hands down best tire product that ever happened on earth. They did it on that 1.
