Now that I stopped using automatic washes, how should I clean and rinse the underside of my F150 after driving on the beach and splashing through salt water?

Re: Sea, sand, and sunny skies; undercarriage wash
Park your truck in your front lawn and place a lawn sprinkler under it overnight. The continual water spray will rinse most of the sand and dirt off the undercarriage especially if you do this as soon as you can.

That's what I was thinking. I also considered the pressure washer at the self service but was worried about mechanical damage. I wish I could get the truck onto the backyard lawn.
Thank you
