Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread
Thanks! There are two other jk colors that I like as much or more than my Gobi. That would be Anvil and Hydro Blue.
I’ve driven a few YJs, but never a TJ. I fell in love with the khaki colored LJs when they came out. So when I decided to buy a Jeep, Gobi was close enough to the khaki paint on the LJ.
I do like it a lot. I don’t obsess over it being clean all the time. It gets a detail twice per year, and just small cleanups here and there. This whole covid thing cancelled two Jeep events I had planned on doing this year. The first was Jeep the Mac, which is basically a parade crossing of the Mackinac bridge, then cruise up to the ferry to Drummond Island for some trail fun. The other was Jeep Invasion at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. But that has been rescheduled and I am hoping to make it.

Those are both great colors! I tried to convince my wife to get her JK in Anvil, but that was a no go unfortunately. Woman has bad taste in colors lol.
A lot of Jeep events have been cancelled here too unfortunately. This pandemic doesnt look like it is going to end anytime soon either, ugh.

Trucks up in the air... pulling oil pan to get the oil pump pickup & pump removed to install a new Rollmaster timing set, Texas Speed v-4 Torquer camshaft and a pair of PRC 225 as-cast heads. Looking for around 450 n/a rwhp from the LQ9 6 liter. Should be running tomorrow, flash the tune with about -4 timing then log data for the MAF & VE tables.
lot of work for a one legged old man in his mid sixties lol
