Yeah the design is difficult for sure. The design on mine aren't the issue. A basic 5 spoke design is quite easy to clean, just the finish that is never going to look clean unfortunately.

That said though, when I combine my Speed Master with either P&S Brake Buster or Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner, the brake dust and dirt never stand a chance, just takes a little extra effort and time and I speak for all of us when I say this, I don't know any other way

My buddy has a GTI with those wheels and they definitely suck!
I polished the black portion one time and they were scratched the very next time I saw the car. He ended up powder coating them matte black lol.
