I tried out the tire hose things just now... Dang I can’t think of their name.
They passed their initial test... Man I honestly thought they were going to completely fail. Lol. But I was able to successfully do this around the vehicle.

I still have to go out there and finish washing the paint. I’ll let you know if anything changes. What did you do today detailing related?
Thanks Eldo! Always good to hear feedback. This car took me a very long time to complete. The leather and carpet took up majority of the detail. Oh and by the way, this nasty detail was successful with D101 at your recommended dilution of 10:1. What did you do today detailing related? What did you do today detailing related? Today's project was a '41 Cadillac. Mostly a one step. A few areas needs a little more correction. Not bad for 36 year old paint. One interesting note, this gentleman has owned this car for almost 30 years. When we were buffing it out, my son noticed some lettering visible under the paint on the driver's side of the edge of the hood (the part you can see above the side hood vent). It said, as close as we could figure, U.S.S. Rocko. When we mentioned it to the owner, who had a huge work shop with 3 lifts and 6 classic cars in various states of repair, he never knew about it. He said "well that makes sense, the guy I bought it from was named Rocko." LOL

Wow, now that is a piece of art!
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

He also had a 30s something Cadillac Limo that has been in the Concourse at Pebble Beach. His wife said we'd be doing that one soon. Didn't get a great look at it, it was on a lift for storage.

Wow, must have been one of the last off the assembly line before production halted in the US (41). Nice work, what products were used?

Not detailing related, but installed splash guards on the Ecobeast... thanks to Dani & Wills for letting me use their shop/quick jacks to lift the car to drill/pin the flaps under the car.

Threw some DLUX on them. They look great!

Mostly M101 on the few really bad areas and a one step product we obtain locally. LC Orange and White Pads on long throw DAs. Metal polish on the bright work. Wool pads on forced rotation on a few spots of the roof that were really bad. He didn't want any dressings or such. He just wanted to spruce it up for the new owner as it's sold as soon as he repairs the original radio/speaker set up.

Yesterday I did interior vacuum on the wifes Armada. Took 2 hrs to get all the crap in the nooks and crannies. Then used some onr and cleaned all the door and window seals with onr and let dry. Then used the 303 gumifledger and went over them all 2 times for good measure. Then I did a rinseless on the hood and front fenders with onr and dried with pfm. Then used the stoners tarminator and got rid of some stuff on the hood. Then tried out the blackfire waterless wash from the earthday sale on the sister site. Did a good job and called it a day. Really need a weekend so I can clean it up and do the coating.

Also ordered up some CQ Tio2 and CQUK 3.0 and Gliss. Got a few cars to do.
