FYI the Griot's bucket has wheels that also do NOT lock, so beware on a slope.
IMO, it is overpriced and no better than HD bucket with GG.

Very true. However i do envy the fact you can get back from the office and do whatever work on your car as needed.
In my case, I have to be mobile to get myself to a wash bay/ garage.
City life still has its benefits though.

The 3 gallon buckets are the only way to go IMO
I have one green pickle bucket left from many I pilfered in the 70's when I worked at a Mr. Steak restaurant in college. Used them for years but 2 disappeared as in my kids took them. I use it to hold all my mitts, wheel brushes and such, Just wash out of the 3 gallon ones I get.
The only green I am enamored with is cold hard cash.

It gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing I can get something for little or nothing by just being a little creative
Sorry to hear your kids lost your buckets. I'm sure it was nothing personel

Lol. Ya a coin-op. Mainly to use the real estate. There is one nearby that always has at least 75% of the bays open at a given time. I can go there with a bag full of products and do a "quick detail"...can spend up to 2-3 hours there and wouldnt be bothered (maybe for the exception of a homeless person or two lol).
If I lm planning on doing anything more significant, machine polishing/sealing/waxing, I will usually take a trip out to the burbs for the day and use the garage at my folks house.

Thanks for your reply, I just might try this.

Sounds like the apples didn't fall far from the tree. He took the buckets from the steak restaurant and his children took them from him. No offense intended, bobble.

Thanks for the tips. I dropped by HD and picked up 2 White/clear 5 gallon buckets with foam handle, 3 Zep spray bottles, and a roll of 1" blue 3M tape. One step closer to detailing nirvana. Lol
I wish I could buy their $19 foam gun but I can't find an adapter to my Karchner electric PW.
Learning to detail for fun and to show my 96 Ford SVT Cobra, Black. My dad always said I was going to wax the paint right off my car. Would wax every weekend. GG 6" DAP
