    what do people use after they

    I put bags over them

    I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. Do you mean do I put dressing on the pedals? Hell no, there was just a story in the news about a girl who was so happy her car was just detailed but her foot slipped off the brake pedal because it had "armor all" on it and caused her to crash into 3 cars lol.

    As far as keeping them clean while I'm detailing, I might throw a cheap MF over the pedal if I have to move the car, but most of the time I don't move it until the customer comes to pick it up and drives off.

    I think he is talking about putting something over the pedals so if he has to move the car he isn't getting what he just got clean dirty again.

    I usually don't move their car after I detail it.

    I also work at a dealership. Aside from the parking brake, where applicable, I give them a quick clean with the least expensive product available, old soapy water on an even older rag and wrung out well so as not to drip. Grime off, that the best they get. Never have had a complaint.
