Re: Optimum Spray wax with UV(Is it that good)

Only spray wax that I know of that has a UV patent.

Re: Optimum Spray wax with UV(Is it that good)

I bought a gallon of this and have barely made a dent in it. I'm using it like other spray waxes and although the application is the same the durability is unparallelled.
While I like to use a sealant like Menzerna Power Lock or Collinite 845 for most of the car, I use this after every wash. It's especially good for tight areas and odd shapes like around your side mirrors, bumpers, and door trim, that is close to rubber.

If you dry first, can I use something like optimum detailer for drying aid before ocw? Or would that mess with the wax?
I would defer to Chris as the expert on this issue but my experience is that all of the Optimum products play well together. I have used the detailer as a drying aid and then used the spray wax. Worked great for me.

For our instant Detailer you can use it as a drying aid, but the wax does need to be applied dry or almost dry. I frequently use it after my first drying pass when rinseless washing with ONR.

For those wondering how durable OCW is vs DG AW, Corey has a comparison of OCW with UQW, DG AW and Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax in his Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax review - he has updates up to two months (in further posts in the thread). Quick summary is, OCW does a lot better than the other three products that were tested.

As mentioned in the thread, it's almost unfair to compare Optimum's Wax with other spray waxes, because although it's application and use is identical to a spray wax, it's not a topper or gloss enhancer product, it's just "their wax".
I would never use a conventional spray wax as an LSP. But I would with Optimum.

So is it okay to dry with OID then use OCW or should I look to dry/partially dry without the aid of something that could affect OCW.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
That's right. It is not only OK, but because our line works well with each other you will see better performance from both.
