AIO and pad recommendation
I haven't been around in a while, and wanted to get an AIO recommendation. Previously the 2 big players were d151 and xmt 360. Can someone recommend one over the other, or something else I can try out.
What pads would you recommend for the AIO? Also what pads just to apply wax. I have a griots polisher.
Thanks

Re: AIO and pad recommendation
If the paint is in pretty good shape, that is no deep swirls and scratches you might give the new Optimum G-P-S a try, it's a cleaner/wax to use the generic vernacular for a product that,
in one step, or in other words an all-in-one....
Optimum G-P-S
Not a lot of cut but a little cleaning plus polishing and protection.

if you want more cut, i would say d151 although the protection is not very long at all. However, great correction and after couple weeks, do a wash with apc to get rid of whatever wax, if any is even left, and apply your LSP! What I did with large suv i didn't want to take up my whole weekend.

What about pads for d151 and just to apply wax?

Foam Polishing pads.
You can use foam cutting pads but on some paints you might see micro-marring with any abrasive one-step product and then you'll have to re-do it with a less aggressive pad, so try to use a one-step with foam polishing pads unless you're getting good results with more aggressive pads.
How aggressive your choice in pad is determined by how bad the finish is and you're need for speed...

GPS coupled with an Optimum MF polishing pad, or LC HT tangerine are nice combinations. No dusting, very easy to use. I'd top it with OPT car wax as AIOs are classically a bit short in the tooth when it comes to longevity in the protection department.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

What would you recommend for a general one step polish, which doesnt include any wax? Something that is beginner friendly which has decent cut and finishes nicely?

Re: AIO and pad recommendation
Menzerna Power Finish with white pad works nice. Long work time, decent cut, finishs down nice with low dusting.
There is vast amounts of knowledge at your fingertips, use Google, Youtube, and the search button.

Re: AIO and pad recommendation
Looks like power finish it is. And pad brand recommendation? How many are needed to finish a car?
