sooo..How is subaru paint?
I am about 95% sure I am going to be ordering a 2012 STi sedan in dark gray metallic and trading in my mustang. So what kinda paint is on these cars..is it really soft or hard or what. I love my mustang but I will say I will not miss the jello soft paint.

Subarus= soft paint as well. Get a Corvette and get into the super hard clear club.

I will pass..I am getting the Sti because I am trying to buy something more practical and still keep my fun..4 door AWD so if I ever need to put the kids in my car it is an option.

I understand. Consider using Opti-Coat or Cquartz for long term protection on the STI.

I have a 2011 and it is pretty soft, IDK is it is quite jello soft though. If i did it all over again I would have bought a clear bra for the front from day 1.

My 06 is super soft if you walk past it and barely bump a t-shirt to it I'm pretty sure it scratches... Wouldn't trade the car itself for anything though

i will probably opticoat this one as it will not be much of a garage queen and it will actually go out in the rain.

I agree with you on the clear bra for the front. My 09 is pretty soft aswell. Another thing to consider is something to protect the rear fenders, like the rally armour mud flaps or some 3m rock guard to save that paint.

I told them if I buy it. That when it comes in no one is to touch it. I said just remove the white paper do not wash leave rest to me.

Re: sooo..How is subaru paint?
Subaru paint and Honda paint is some of the worst, most unpleasant POS paint to work with. You're gonna hate your life... especially if you get a black color.
The wind blows and there is maring and scratches... sticky soft, disgusting. No thanks.
