From what ive heard and read yes they are suppose to be better since they have the foam core that always them to absorb more. I dont have any experience with the HD unfortunately.

I bought one used it once, haven't used it since. Not that it didn't work, it just took a lot longer to dry using it.

I have a few HD's and love them for washing my SUV with ONR. I use that as my pat dry and then follow up with a drying aid and other MFs. I find, when used in this fashion, they work amazing! I really like the foam core.

I have been keeping my eye on the Mothers foam cores MFs. I don't know how well they will work though - but would think a foam core is a foam core.

I prefer the regular guzzler. Easier to maneuver over the car, and bigger.

The green ones are extremely similar to my usual go-to favorite Meguiar's Water Magnet towels. I've also found great success using one of the small green Guzzlers for streak-free glass cleaning.
